Charity Accepts Bottles for Recycling

We recently had a request from a client on how to set up a campaign for the following:

A donor collects bottles that can be recycled. The charity arranges to have the bottles picked up so they can be taken to a bottle depot for return.

The question which needed a response was "Does the donor receive a charitable receipt for a cash donation?"

The response from CRA as No. The donation of bottles would be considered a GIFT in KIND.

We put together a scenario on how we would record this information.
